It should come as no surprise that when we treat our current and potential presidents like personal life coaches, while at the same time failing to hold them accountable for abdicating the most basic of their responsibilities, they lose all sense of proportion about where the government ends and their own superpower begins. Barack Obama's latest State of the Union speech featured a flurry of bizarre, over-personalized boasts about the things Super-POTUS will single-handedly circumvent.

High School kids chanting 'USA! USA' deemed a racist act

San Antonio Independent School District officials took the chant as a racial insult to a school with all minority players from a school with mostly white ones.
On the KSAT 12 Defenders Facebook page, Santos Villarreal's post reads "this has to stop."

But here's the problem: job creation tax incentives don't work. At least not well. And to the extent they provide the appearance of efficacy without the substance, they hinder the kind of economic polich that actually might put people back to work.
